Karam Gavvalu

A delicious, savory & sweet snack from Andhra and has a very unique shape of a seashell. Gavvalu is made usually around festivals like Janmashtami and Diwali. A special press is required to roll out the Gavvalu in the desired shape, known as Gavvalu Chekka or Peeta. Karam Gavvalu is a spicy sister version of sweet Gavvalu. This Hyderabadi snack is the perfect snack to enjoy with drinks or chai.

The thirst for an authentic food experience while traveling led to a journey to bring authentic local flavors to your doorstep. The postcard is all about promoting India’s rich culinary heritage and getting to you artisanal snacks which are not mass-produced or commercialized.
