A rare form of snack, originally coming from the heritage town of Farrukhabad (U.P). Manufacturing of these nuts is a difficult process, as they are sundried and the outer layer is manually removed, involving a lot of labor. This makes it expensive, unique, handcrafted, and rare in availability. Sem beej is a loved tea-time snack in U.P and is often taken as Chakna(snacks) with drinks.
